Electronic Medical Record System (EMRS) is dedicated to
the development of leading-edge IT solutions for an ever-changing healthcare
environment
Electronic Medical Record System (EMRS) is complete solution designed for an enterprise wide-area networked environment to implement a totally paperless office by allowing patient records to be accessed at the actual point-of-care via a wireless pen pad or stationary PC and by managing all clinical, administrative and follow-up processes electronically.
The system will be easy to use with the insightful workflow of a medical practice in mind and requires minimal clicks to reach vital screens for faster operation, data entry and retrieval.
The software can be used in its entirety or as individual modules and can be used or private–labeled by companies to enhance their own systems and create new product lines.
The system architecture is scalable, adaptable, Windows and wireless technology based and supports standard interfaces making it a solid foundation for any size or type of application.
The software will be compliant with industry standards and protocols (e.g. HIPAA) and is constantly being upgraded with new features that allow greater functionality and more streamlined workflow.
Who will Benefit?
Any size or type of healthcare enterprise: solo practices, physician groups, healthcare providers, medical facilities, specialty practices, community health groups, plan providers, hospitals, managed care organizations, specialized health care programs, research facilities, complementary technology companies.
Across all specialties: Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Mental Health, Radiology, OB/GYN, Oncology, Ophthalmology and more.
Patients who trust their providers to give them the best possible service and care.
Among the key principles on which this project has been
initiated, and will be run, are the following:
Paperless Medical
Records
A major goal of this project is to apply the application development strengths to implement a totally paper/filmless office.
Where market adopted standards exist that meet the design
goals, our aim is to leverage and adhere to them. Where market adopted standards
do not exist, we will develop and publish any new capabilities in the EMRS.
Incremental Delivery
In order to meet the pent-up demand for a standardized framework, we aim to deliver functionality to the market as rapidly as possible via an incremental delivery model.
Client-server based (Multi Tier)
SQL Based Backend
Scalable – Support for Multiple Servers
Highly Available – Clustering Support
Secure – High Grade Encryption
HIPPA Compliant
Windows Based - Easy to use
Fully integrated modules
Highly Customizable - Used in many different Practices and Specialties
EMRS
typically involves four distinct segments.
Hardware Bring-up – In this phase developers test hardware requirements They also run hardware-oriented diagnostics and confirm the ability to run simple software applications modules. They provide Platform developers with a stable target.
Platform Software Development – In this phase developers create the software foundation that sits closest to the hardware including device drivers.
Application Software Development – In this phase developers create the software that delivers the purpose and value of the device. They build, download and debug applications running on a target system utilizing an array of tools.
Testing & Quality Assurance – In this phase Programmer/Analyst develop the testing strategies, test software on different platforms and complete quality assurance process.
We see a need for project phases to support the EMRS
outlined in the following areas.
· Electronic Medical Records
· Billing & Accounts Receivables
· Collections
· Electronic Claims Submission
· Electronic Payment Remittance
· Scheduling
· Document Completion
· Laboratory Information
· Imaging
· Dictation/transcription
· Report Generation
· Referral Management
· Wireless Technology/Mobile Solutions
· Fax Capability
· Online Interactive Support
· HIPAA compliant
